About Us
After 11 years of running a language school and teaching foreign languages, we decided to change careers in 2003 and open two hiking gear and clothing shops.This was the first step in getting closer to the mountains we both love. For thirteen years, we have helped and equipped many hikers eager to discover the mountains of Europe and beyond. The dream of opening a guest house in the southern Alps has always stuck with us.
After a year of extensive renovations and hard work, we finally opened our Maison d’Hôtes in July 2018.
Finally, at the beginning of 2017, we decided to take the leap and settle down in the heights of the Bréole, a quaint little village overlooking the lake of Serre-Ponçon, at the edge of the Ubaye.
This guest house is where we accommodate and advise travellers and tourists looking for a change of scenery and authenticity. Every day, we strive to offer our guests high-quality services! See you soon!

Make no mistake, we are not twin sisters! In fact, we are exactly 10 years apart. My name is Elly, in my beautiful grey coat. I don't really enjoy cuddling; I prefer eating... My little brown sister, on the other hand, is a big teddy bear and I let her have all the cuddles she wants. Her name is Hilou! Hee-haw!
